Connect your iPhone
The game runs on your iPhone. Connecting it to this server also puts your hiker on this web page, for anyone on your home network to see.
- Open the Camera on your iPhone and point it at the code.
- Tap the Open in Summit Trail banner.
- Summit checks the connection and starts sharing your days with this page.
Or enter it by hand
In Summit, open Settings, then Share to a website.

The token lets a device write activity to this server. It is only shown to devices on your home network.
Invite a walking buddy
A friend with Summit Trail on their iPhone joins your trail: you see each other's hiker, position and today's steps, nothing else. Each code works once and expires after 7 days.
- Your friend opens the Camera and points it at the code.
- They tap Open in Summit Trail, or type the code in Settings, then Walking buddies.
